Southbank Centre’s Festival of Love

This summer Southbank Centre's Festival of Love in London is the place to be for exhibitions, music, dance, food and fun!

Southbank Centre’s Festival of Love - July 20th 2015

Ask any Londoner to list which areas they love around the city, the chances are that Southbank will feature quite heavily. It’s not hard to see why; the stretch of the Thames between London Bridge and Westminster Bridge is home to the London Eye, the London Aquarium, the Globe Theatre, the BFI, the OXO Tower and the Tate Modern. It also includes the cultural hub of Festival Hall, the National Theatre and the world-famous Southbank Centre, the largest single-run arts centre in the world.

This summer, the Southbank Centre is again hosting its Festival of Love spectacle from the start of June until the end of August. Expect a variety of paid and free events including social dances, pop-up exhibitions, stage productions and, our favourite event from last year, the Heritage Orchestra performing Goldie’s “Timeless” album. Named by The Guardian as one of the fifty most significant events in the history of dance music, Timeless is a truly landmark album.

My Plus One attended last year, it was a genuinely remarkable experience; here are a few pictures to give you a taster!…
